If You’re Thinking About Doing It, Give It A Try

“I don’t want to say life altering, but it has been a big change. I didn’t get them prior, when I was working, because I worked in a school kitchen and there was a lot of noise around, and once I retired my husband said it was time to do it. We came to visit you and it’s been incredible.

It’s been incredible. I’ve been hearing things that I didn’t hear before. I’m in on conversations that I don’t have to lean in and strain. I recently had jury duty and it made a big difference with that because you can hear what’s going on around you, and you don’t feel left out, and it’s been incredible for me. And it’s probably better for him too.”

“A lot less repeating and being frustrated and avoiding some arguments. It’s been a big help.”

“If I knew then what I know now, I might not have worn them at work with the loud machinery and everything, but then the ability to be able to hear people talking and not the constant “what?”, “excuse me?”, “what did you say?”, I would have done it a lot sooner. It was hard in the beginning because I was hearing everything, it was almost like overload – my quiet little world had expanded.

We walk, we do a lot of walking. I was hearing birds I wasn’t hearing before. You hear, just, all kinds of things, and it’s been terrific.

I would say to anybody, if you’re thinking about doing it, give it a try. And give it a while because, like doctor explained to me, it’s going to take some tweaking, it’s going to take some changing. And a lot of it is just changing on your part as excepting this is normal. I didn’t hear that before, now I’m hearing it. It’s been terrific.”
