If you are a clinician referring us, we understand you have a lot on your plate. You need to trust the specialist that will take care of your patients’ hearing needs. You can rest assured that Audiology and Hearing Aid Solutions have the expertise to treat your patients’ hearing evaluation, testing and if necessary, hearing loss solutions.
Why is it important to refer your patients to an audiologist?
About 20% of the U.S. population — approximately 48 million Americans — experience changes in hearing significant enough to impact mental and physical health.
In this interview, Dr. Pat D. Biondi emphasizes the vital connection between hearing health and overall mental and physical well-being. He stresses the importance of working closely with a licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser for the best outcomes.
The Connection Between Hearing Loss and Other Health Conditions
Hearing loss is more than just an inconvenience; it is intricately linked with serious health conditions. Research shows that older adults using hearing aids can cut their risk of dementia by almost 50%. Untreated hearing loss can lead to brain strain, fatigue, forgetfulness, and social withdrawal. Individuals with diabetes, heart disease, or undergoing cancer treatment face significantly higher risks of hearing loss. Even mild hearing loss can triple the risk of falls, a major cause of injury in older adults. Learn more about the connections between hearing loss and specific comorbidities and how managing it can improve overall health.
Meet Our Practice Development Representative
Maryanne joined our staff in 2018 as our Practice Development Representative. Maryanne works closely with the medical community educating them about the impacts hearing loss has on an individual’s overall health, safety and happiness. More importantly, Maryanne generates awareness about the consequences of untreated hearing loss and the many available options for patients today. She partners with medical practices in our area to provide patients with access to hearing healthcare through their physicians’ referrals.

frequently asked questions
How Expensive Are The Hearing Aids?
The cost of hearing aids generally depends on the technology and number of advanced features a device has, not necessarily on a specific style. Our hearing specialists work with each patient to choose the device that works best with their hearing needs, lifestyle and budget. Hearing aids range from $1,000 – $3,300 per aid.
Does Insurance Cover Hearing Consultation And Hearing Aids?
The initial hearing test and consultation is at no charge. For the cost of the hearing aids, we work with most insurance companies and many offer a hearing aid benefit. We can verify each patient’s benefit and determine their coverage before their initial appointment.
Comparison Between Our Practice And Costco, Why Should Doctors Refer To Us Instead Of Costco?
Costco focuses on product sales and a one-size-fits-all solution. They only perform a basic hearing test and do not offer the newest technology. Our practice focuses on hearing health and quality patient care. We always offer the newest hearing aid technology and our prices are competitive. A hearing aid is only a part of the solution — it is the ongoing support our patients receive that ensures a successful result.
What Do Hearing Aids Look Like, Are They Large?
Hearing aids come in all shapes and sizes. Some are sleek and discreet, while others are more powerful and can be equipped with advanced features and technology. The most popular hearing aids either sit behind-the-ear, directly in-the-ear, or completely in-the-canal.
What Brands Do We Sell?
We only sell top-tier world-class, FDA approved hearing products. We offer the newest models from all the major manufacturers such as Oticon, ReSound, Widex, Phonak, Signia, Starkey, and others.
