Healthy hearing is a gift we often take for granted. Imagine walking down the street, unable to hear the birds chirp and the sounds of the city. Imagine spending time with your family, unable to hear your child or grandchild’s laughter?

For 360 million people around the world, this is their reality. For World Hearing Day (March 3rd), we ask you to take time and celebrate your ability to hear.

How can you celebrate?

  1. Attend a play or show – Relax and enjoy the fine arts by catching a show at your local theater.
  2. Go to the park – Head to the park to enjoy the sounds of the world (weather permitting). Listen to the birds chirp, the children play and the wind whistle
  3. Attend a sporting event – Grab tickets and celebrate by cheering on your team. Don’t forget to bring ear plugs!
  4. Listen to your favorite music – Turn on your favorite music, relax or dance!
  5. Play a song – Pick up your favorite instrument and play a tune.
  6. Donate – Donate to a local or national hearing loss support group.
  7. Get a hearing health check-up – Schedule an appointment with an audiologist to ensure your ears are healthy.

There are hundreds of ways to celebrate your gift of hearing. Don’t take your hearing health for granted this World Hearing Day!
